Meraioth fathered Amariah, and Amariah fathered Ahitub,

The sons of Kohath: his son Amminadab, Korah, his son, Assir, his son;

and Uzzi fathered Zerahiah, and Zerahiah fathered Meraioth,

and Ahitub fathered Zadok, and Zadok fathered Ahimaaz, and Ahimaaz fathered Azariah, and Azariah fathered Johanan,

Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraiah, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God.

but the sons of Korah did not die.
