1 Chronicles 21:12

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

either for three years of famine, or three months to be wasted before your adversaries, even to be overtaken by the sword of your enemies; or the sword of Jehovah three days, even plague in the land, and the angel of Jehovah destroying throughout all the borders of Israel. And now, see what answer I shall return to Him that sent me.

And there was a famine in the days of David, three years, year after year. And David sought the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah said, It is for Saul and for his bloody house, because he caused the Gibeonites to die.

And Elijah the Tishbite, of the sojourners of Gilead, said to Ahab, As Jehovah the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall be no dew nor rain these years, except according to my word.

And it happened in that night, that the Angel of Jehovah went out and struck a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of Assyria; and they rose up early in the morning, and behold, all of them were corpses having died.

And Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had revived, saying, Rise up and go, you and your household. And reside where you can reside, for Jehovah has called for a famine. And also, it shall come on the land seven years.

And Gad came to David and said to him, So says Jehovah, Choose for yourself:

of the plague that walks in darkness, of the destruction laying waste at noonday.

And Jehovah will pass through to strike Egypt. And He will see the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, and Jehovah will pass over the door. And He will not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.

For by fire and by His sword Jehovah will judge with all flesh; and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.

These devastating have come on all barren heights through the wilderness, for the sword of Jehovah devours from one end of the land even to the other end of the land. There is no peace for any flesh.

even it shall be, the sword which you feared shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt. And the famine which you were anxious about shall cling to you there in Egypt, and you shall die there.

O sword of Jehovah, until when will you not be quiet? Put yourself into your sheath; rest, and be still.

Better are the wounded ones by the sword than the ones slain by famine, those who flow away, pierced because the produce of my fields failed.

And you shall eat very old store, and clear away the old because of the new coming out.

And I shall set My face against you, and you shall be smitten before your enemies; and those who hate you shall rule over you, and you shall flee, and there will be no one pursuing you.

But on a truth I say to you, Many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah when the heaven was shut up over three years and six months, when a great famine came on all the land;

And instantly an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give the glory to God. And having been eaten of worms, he breathed out his soul.

And it shall be, if you will not heed the voice of your God, to take heed to do all His commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today, even all these curses shall come on you and overtake you:

Jehovah shall strike you with lung disease and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting and mildew. And they shall pursue you until you perish.

Jehovah shall cause you to be stricken before your enemies. You shall go out one way against them, and shall flee seven ways before them. And you shall be a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

Jehovah shall strike you with the boil of Egypt, and with hemorrhoids, and with the scab, and with itch, of which you cannot be healed.

Jehovah shall strike you with an evil ulcer on the knees, and on the legs, of which you cannot be healed from the sole of your foot even to your crown.
