And he set before the ark of Jehovah ministers from the Levites, even to celebrate and to thank and to give praise to Jehovah the God of Israel:

O give thanks to Jehovah; call on His name, make known His deeds among the peoples.

And David divided them according to their offices in their service, even Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar.

And David and the commanders of the army separated some to the service of the sons of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, who were prophets with harps, with lyres and with cymbals. And their number, of the workmen according to their service, was:

And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of Jehovah, after the ark had rested.

And they were as one to the trumpeters, and to the singers to cause one sound to be heard to praise and to thank Jehovah. And when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised Jehovah, saying, For He is good; for His mercy endures forever; and a cloud filled the house, the house of Jehovah;

And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Jehovah, they made stand the priests in their robes with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals to praise Jehovah, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel.

And the heads of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brothers next to them, to praise, to give thanks according to the command of David the man of God, watch by watch.

Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits;

Remember His wonders that He has done, His signs, and the judgments of His mouth,

Blessed is Jehovah God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, Amen! Praise Jah!

A Psalm of David. Do not inflame yourself with evildoers; and do not be envious against workers of perversity;

To the chief musician. A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. O God, deliver me! Hurry, O Jehovah, to help me!

Blessed is Jehovah God, the God of Israel, who alone does wonderful things.
