As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

Who is this that comes up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I awakened you under the apple tree: there your mother brought you forth: there she brought you forth that bore you.

And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a refuge from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

For you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, for the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and splendid for them that have escaped of Israel.

His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

Awake, O north wind; and come, you south; blow upon my garden, that its spices may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat its pleasant fruits.

Sustain me with cakes of raisins, refresh me with apples: for I am sick with love.

He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?

Solomon had a vineyard at Baalhamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; everyone for its fruit was to bring a thousand pieces of silver.

My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: you, O Solomon, must have a thousand, and those that tend its fruit two hundred.

The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languishes; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy has withered away from the sons of men.

Gird your sword upon your thigh, O most mighty, with your glory and your majesty.
