Romans 15:26

For it has pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints who are at Jerusalem.

He that despises his neighbor sins: but he that has mercy on the poor, happy is he.

He that oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker: but he that honors him has mercy on the poor.

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made an attack with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,

After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem:

I beseech you, brethren, (you know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.

And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be sent on my way toward Judea.

And when I was present with you, and in want, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from there into Macedonia.

For, when we were come into Macedonia, our body had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.

For the administration of this service not only supplies the need of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

For I know the eagerness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has provoked very many.

Lest perhaps if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, you) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.

Now you Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only.

So that you were examples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak anything.

And indeed you do it toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that you increase more and more;

As I besought you to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that you might charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
