[A Psalm or Song of Asaph.] Keep not silence, O God: hold not your peace, and be not still, O God.
[A Psalm of David.] Unto you will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if you be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
This you have seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O LORD, be not far from me.
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
I have long time held my peace; I have been still, and restrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
Awake, why sleep you, O Lord? arise, cast us not off forever.
[A Psalm of Asaph.] The mighty God, even the LORD, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
