Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have showed your strength unto this generation, and your power to every one that is to come.

And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.

They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he has done this.

For this God is our God forever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.

We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he has done.

That the generation to come might know them, even the children who should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

And you shall show your son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

And even to your old age I am he; and even to gray hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Are you not him who has cut Rahab, and wounded the sea monster?

Who has believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was laid with his fathers, and saw corruption:

Now Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes were dim, that he could not see.

And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck broke, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.
