Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
[A prayer of David.] Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goes not out of feigned lips.
When I kept silence, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long.
I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
For you are the God of my strength: why do you cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
[To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
But verily God has heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.
Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: my eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
We all growl like bears, and mourn greatly like doves: we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
You have heard my voice: hide not your ear at my breathing, at my cry.
