Man that is in honor, and understands not, is like the beasts that perish.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath abated.

Before I go where I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;

Does not their excellence which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom.

Nevertheless man being in honor abides not: he is like the beasts that perish.

But if a man lives many years, and rejoices in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that comes is vanity.
