Be surety for your servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.
I will be surety for him; of my hand shall you require him: if I bring him not unto you, and set him before you, then let me bear the blame forever:
Lay down a surety for me with you; who is he that will give surety for me?
You have rebuked the proud that are cursed, who do err from your commandments.
Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: my eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better covenant.
