My son, attend to my words; incline your ear unto my sayings.
My son, be attentive to my wisdom, and incline your ear to my understanding:

My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you.

For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you; they shall all be fitted on your lips.
