Whosoever keeps the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of gluttonous men shames his father.
Whosoever loves wisdom rejoices his father: but he that keeps company with harlots wastes his substance.
And not many days later the younger son gathered everything together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself brings his mother to shame.
Whosoever robs his father or his mother, and says, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.
He that mistreats his father, and chases away his mother, is a son that causes shame, and brings reproach.
But as soon as this your son came, who has devoured your living with harlots, you have killed for him the fatted calf.
