When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves.

So let all your enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when it goes forth in its might. And the land had rest forty years.

When the wicked arise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

Then Athaliah tore her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.

And all the people of the land rejoiced: and the city was quiet, after they had slain Athaliah with the sword.

Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is in them, shall sing for Babylon: for the plunderers shall come unto her from the north, says the LORD.
