According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

Uphold me according unto your word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given unto us.

Neither yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

I speak after the manner of men because of the weakness of your flesh: for as you have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

For the earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.

As it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense: and whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.

I protest by your boasting which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord has given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

And that he died for all, that they who live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto him who died for them, and rose again.

For if I have boasted anything to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found to be truth.

Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my boasting of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.

And many of the brethren in the Lord, becoming confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
