They joined with their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his ordinances and his statutes;

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin.

And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.

And he read in it facing the square that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.

And the descendants of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.

And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our leaders, Levites, and priests, seal it.

That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise you the LORD.

I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep your righteous judgments.

For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cling to the house of Jacob.

Then the priest shall charge the woman to take an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the LORD does make your thigh to rot, and your belly to swell;

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.

Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why go you about to kill me?

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cling unto the Lord.

Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.

And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that you may learn them, and keep, and do them.

You shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God has commanded you: you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
