And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Highest: for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presses into it.

But if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.

But what went you out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? Behold, they who are gorgeously appareled, and live in luxury, are in kings' courts.
