And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and struck a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

When they who were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

And Jesus answered and said, No more of this. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.
