For in many things we all offend. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; show me why you contend with me.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.

Who can understand his errors? cleanse me from secret faults.

That which I see not you teach me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

Therefore, Job, I pray you, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.

Lo this, we have searched it out, so it is; hear it, and know you it for your good.

As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.

Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, while you searched out what to say.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger:

Or, Deliver me from the enemy’s hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?

How forceful are right words! but what does your arguing prove?

How many are my iniquities and sins? make me know my transgression and my sin.
