Behold, the hope of subduing him is in vain: shall one not be cast down even at the sight of him?
None is so fierce that would dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?
Lay your hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
From the time that it goes forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a terror just to understand the report.
And great earthquakes shall be in various places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
So that you shall be driven mad by the sight of your eyes which you shall see.
And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that hears it shall tingle.
