Is it good unto you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and smile upon the counsel of the wicked?

You know that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of your hand.

Behold now, I have prepared my case; I know that I shall be justified.

God has delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.

Know now that God has overthrown me, and has compassed me with his net.

So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his wrath aroused, because he justified himself rather than God.

Shall even he that hates right govern? and will you condemn him that is most just?

Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight: that you might be justified when you speak, and be blameless when you judge.

For the LORD of hosts has purposed, and who shall annul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

And your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with sheol shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then you shall be beaten down by it.

Put me in remembrance: let us contend together: state your case, that you may be proved right.

Woe unto him that strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashions it, What do you make? or of your work, He has no hands?

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged.

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannuls, or adds thereto.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before by God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of no effect.

For there is verily an annulment of the previous commandment because of the weakness and uselessness thereof.
