He pours contempt upon princes, and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.

Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and died.

And I will clothe him with your robe, and strengthen him with your belt, and I will commit your authority into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

And righteousness shall be the belt of his loins, and faithfulness the belt of his waist.

None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the belt on their waist be loosed, nor the strap of their shoes be broken:

Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, says the LORD; and I will repay you in this plot, says the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plot of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm in it.

And if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all your borders with frogs:

Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver:

He looses the bonds of kings, and girds their loins with a waistband.

How much less to him that regards not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

That brings the princes to nothing; he makes the judges of the earth as nothing.

Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the armor of kings, to open before him the two-leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

And I will cut off the judge from its midst, and will slay all its princes with him, says the LORD.

Because he has loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also cast off restraint before me.
