Cursed is he that does the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed is he that keeps back his sword from blood.

And say you unto them, Thus says the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeys not the words of this covenant,

O you sword of the LORD, how long will it be before you are quiet? put yourself into your scabbard, rest, and be still.

How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD has given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the seashore? there has he appointed it.

The LORD has opened his armory, and has brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.

Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day has come, the time of their punishment.

And stay you not there , but pursue after your enemies, and attack their rear guards; allow them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God has delivered them into your hand.

Curse you Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, Curse you bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

Now go and strike Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.

But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but everything that was despised and worthless, that they destroyed utterly.
