Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the scroll: but he would not hear them.

Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

Behold, the princes of Israel, each one in you used his power to shed blood.
