Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you hide not yourself from your own flesh?

You have not given water to the weary to drink, and you have withheld bread from the hungry.

He has dispersed, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his strength shall be exalted with honor.

The merciful man does good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubles his own flesh.

He that has a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he gives of his bread to the poor.

Deliver those that are drawn toward death, hold back those that are stumbling to the slaughter;

If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink:

He that gives unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hides his eyes shall have many a curse.

And if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in the darkness, and your darkness be as the noon day:

Thus says the LORD; Execute justice and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and withhold your help from them: you shall certainly bring them again unto your brother.

Well reported of for good works; if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.

For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints are refreshed by you, brother.

Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Which is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, who are threescore and ten persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.
