It is decreed: she shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maidens shall lead her as with the moaning of doves, beating upon their breasts.

Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;

The new wine mourns, the vine languishes, all the merry-hearted do sigh.

He has laid my vine waste, and splintered my fig tree: he has stripped it bare, and cast it away; its branches are made white.
