By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation:

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Who only has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man has seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen.

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great fight with afflictions;

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Behold, we count them happy who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very compassionate, and of tender mercy.

Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
