And he had brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maiden was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took as his own daughter.

(For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and I have guided him from my mother’s womb;)

And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

And, you fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.
