Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the ruin of the poor is their poverty.

A wise man scales the city of the mighty, and casts down the stronghold in which they trust.

A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increases strength.

Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

If the iron is blunt, and he does not sharpen the edge, then must he use more strength: but wisdom helps one to succeed.

For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellence of knowledge is, that wisdom gives life to them that have it.

Wisdom strengthens the wise more than ten mighty men who are in the city.

Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroys much good.
