For the LORD your God is he that goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

And it shall be, when you shall hear a sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, that then you shall go out to battle: for God has gone forth before you to smite the army of the Philistines.

And, behold, God himself is with us as our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight not against the LORD God of your fathers; for you shall not prosper.

And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.

One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fights for you, as he has promised you.

So the LORD saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over unto Beth-aven.
