I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, greet you in the Lord.

The salutation is of me Paul with my own hand.

The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:

That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, that the day of the Lord is at hand.

Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have showed you kindness, that you will also show kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true sign:

And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how your brethren fare, and bring back a token.
