And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they surrounded him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God led them to depart from him.

And they were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he heeded their prayer; because they put their trust in him.

Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:

O Lord, I beseech you, let now your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants, who desire to fear your name: and prosper, I pray you, your servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

You have thrust hard at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.

The angel of the LORD encamps round about them that fear him, and delivers them.

[To the Chief Musician for the sons of Korah. A song upon alamoth.] God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were greatly afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.

When a man's ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turns it wherever he will.
