And God said unto him, Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself long life; neither have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies; but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice;

Not for any violence in my hands: also my prayer is pure.

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

Let my prayer be set forth before you as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I go about your altar, O LORD:

Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto you, when I lift up my hands toward your holy sanctuary.

And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you: yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; it shall be done.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them who despitefully use you, and persecute you;

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his clothing, and cast lots.

And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

Jesus said unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when you shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, who gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.

And said, Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Your prayers and your alms are come up for a memorial before God.

And when we had accomplished those days, we departed and went our way; and they all brought us on our way, with wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down on the shore, and prayed.

And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man has his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

Now thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and makes manifest the fragrance of his knowledge by us in every place.

But I wish you to understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have served rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak anything.

I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, rule the house, give no occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I desire that you affirm constantly, that they who have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Likewise, you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
