Better is a dry morsel, with quietness, than a house full of sacrifices with strife.

The beginning of strife is like releasing water: therefore leave off contention, before a quarrel starts.

Better is a handful with quietness, than both hands full with toil and grasping for the wind.

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and worked: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

And labor, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure it:

Therefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs.

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

And at the same time they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but gossips also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

And let our own also learn to maintain good works for urgent needs, that they not be unfruitful.

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
