But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
If a thief be found breaking in, and be smitten that he dies, there shall no blood be shed for him.
Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
And that you study to be quiet, and to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
For we hear that there are some who walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
And at the same time they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but gossips also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
In which I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
But if you suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are you: and, Be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
