Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judges righteously:

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.

Therefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

For consider him that endured such hostility of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.

Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto your servants, that with all boldness they may speak your word,

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the spirit.

Into your hand I commit my spirit: you have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

You have seen it: for you behold mischief and spite, to repay it with your hand: the poor commits himself unto you; you are the helper of the fatherless.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon it was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war.

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but on the contrary blessing; knowing that you are unto this called, that you should inherit a blessing.

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:

And, you masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

Because he has appointed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained; and of this he has given assurance unto all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

Then he questioned him with many words; but he answered him nothing.

Before the LORD: for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

That be far from you to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from you: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man has done nothing amiss.
