And the sons of Dan; Hushim.

Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that bites the horse’s heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.

And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.

And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion’s whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
