Jerusalem was built as a city, joined to it together.

And David will dwell in the fastness, and he will call it the city of David. And David will build round about from Millo and its house.

And we shall build the wall; and all the wall will be completed even to its half: and a heart will be to the people to work.

Jehovah builds Jerusalem: he will collect together the outcasts of Israel.
