And I planted thee a vine of purple grapes, wholly a true seed: and how didst thou turn to me the removings of a strange vine?

Destroying, I will destroy them, says Jehovah; no grapes upon the vine, and no figs upon the fig-tree, and the leaf fell away; and what I shall give to them shall pass by them.

No, I say: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

And also the axe is already laid at the root of the trees: therefore every tree not making good fruit is cut down, and cast into fire.
