Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, will your God say

Speak ye to the heart of Jerusalem, and call to her that her war was filled up, her iniquity was paid off: that she received from the hand of Jehovah double for all her sins.

And saying, We played the flute to you, and ye moved not; we lamented to you and ye lamented not.

And Jesus said to them, The sons of the nuptial chamber cannot mourn inasmuch as the bridegroom is with them; but the days shall come when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast.

And they dwelling near and her kinsmen heard, for the Lord magnified his mercy with her; and they rejoiced with her.

To rejoice with the rejoicing, and weep with the weeping.

For grief according to God works repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but grief of the world works death.

Toil, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and joy to dejection.
