and I give them eternal life; they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

I have said all this to you that in me you may have peace; in the world you have trouble, but courage! I have conquered the world.

The slight trouble of the passing hour results in a solid glory past all comparison,

no powers of the Height or of the Depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to part us from God's love in Christ Jesus our Lord.

and this is why I am suffering. Still, I am not ashamed of it; I know whom I have trusted and I am certain he is able to keep what I have put into his hands till the great Day.

and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the first-born from the dead, and the prince over the kings of earth; to him who loves us and has loosed us from our sins by shedding his blood —

anguish and calamity for every human soul that perpetrates evil, for the Jew first and for the Greek as well,

No, in all this we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

we work hard for our living; when reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we put up with it;

on every side I am harried but not hemmed in, perplexed but not despairing,

persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed —

It makes me satisfied, for Christ's sake, with weakness, insults, trouble, persecution, and calamity; for I am strong just when I am weak.

by knowing the love of Christ which surpasses all knowledge! May you be filled with the entire fulness of God!
