The promise made to Abraham and his offspring that he should inherit the world, did not reach him through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Sin is not to reign, then, over your mortal bodies and make you obey their passions;

So they shall depart to eternal punishment, and the just to eternal life."

So the Logos became flesh and tarried among us; we have seen his glory — glory such as an only son enjoys from his father — seen it to be full of grace and reality.
