Now the people were waiting for Zechariah and wondering that he stayed so long inside the sanctuary.

it fell to him by lot, as was the custom of the priesthood, to enter the sanctuary of the Lord and burn incense,

and said, "This fellow declared, 'I can destroy the temple of God and build it in three days.'"

The high priests took the money and said, "It would be wrong to put this into the treasury, for it is the price of blood."
