Matthew 26:18

He said, "Go into the city to so-and-so; tell him that the Teacher says, 'My time is near, I will celebrate the passover at your house with my disciples.' "

Jesus said to them, "My time has not come yet, but your time is always at hand;

So Jesus spoke; then, lifting his eyes to heaven, he said: "Father, the time has now come; glorify thy Son that thy Son may glorify thee,

Now before the passover festival Jesus knew the time had come for him to pass from this world to the Father. He had loved his own in this world and he loved them to the end;

So they tried to arrest him; but no one laid hands on him, because his time had not come yet.

Go up to the festival yourselves; I am not going up to this festival, for my time has not arrived yet."

And Jesus answered, "The hour has come for the Son of man to be glorified.

Day after day I was beside you in the temple, and you never stretched a hand against me. But this is your hour, and the dark Power has its way."

and with these words she went off to call her sister Mary, telling her secretly, "The Teacher is here, and he is calling for you."

He was still speaking when a message came from the house of the synagogue-president, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the teacher to come any further?"

"You know the passover is to be held two days after this; and the Son of man will be delivered up to be crucified."

nor must you be called 'leaders,' for One is your leader, even the Christ.

But you are not to be called 'rabbi,' for One is your teacher, and you are all brothers;

If anyone says anything to you, you will say that the Lord needs them; then he will at once let them go."

"Mary!" said Jesus. She started round and said, "Rabboni!" (a Hebrew word meaning 'teacher').

So he went up at once to Jesus; "Hail, rabbi!" he said, and kissed him.

So the disciples did as Jesus had told them, and prepared the passover.
