If they tell you, 'Here he is in the desert,' do not go out; 'here he is in the chamber,' do not believe it.

"Then you are not the Egyptian who in days gone by raised the four thousand assassins and led them out into the desert?"

In those days John the Baptist came on the scene, preaching in the desert of Judaea,

(I am telling you this beforehand.)

For like lightning that shoots from east to west, so will be the arrival of the Son of man.
