Which of the two did the will of the father?" They said, "The last." Jesus said to them, "I tell you truly, the taxgatherers and harlots are going into the Realm of God before you.

(On hearing this all the people and the taxgatherers acknowledged the justice of God, as they had been baptized with the baptism of John;

It is not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord!', who will get into the Realm of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven.

The Lord is not slow with what he promises, according to certain people's idea of slowness; no, he is longsuffering for your sake, he does not wish any to perish but all to betake them to repentance.

Law slipped in to aggravate the trespass; sin increased, but grace surpassed it far,

Whatever the Law says, we know, it says to those who are inside the Law, that every mouth may be shut and all the world made answerable to God;

So shall the last be first and the first last."

Such ages of ignorance God overlooked, but he now charges men that they are all everywhere to repent,

He replied, 'You rascal of a servant, I will convict you by what you have said yourself. You knew, did you, that I was a hard man, picking up what I never put down, and reaping what I never sowed!

So, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over a single sinner who repents."

and said, "I tell you truly, unless you turn and become like children, you will never get into the Realm of heaven at all.

Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven, that is my brother and sister and mother."

As Jesus passed along from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax-office; he said to him, "Follow me"; and he rose and followed him.

Also, when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they like to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street-corners, so as to be seen by men; I tell you truly, they do get their reward.

(I tell you truly, till heaven and earth pass away not an iota, not a comma, will pass from the Law until it is all in force.

For if you love only those who love you, what reward do you get for that? do not the very taxgatherers do as much?

The man went to the second and said the same to him; he replied, 'I will not,' but afterwards he changed his mind and did go.

Jesus replied, "Truly, truly I tell you, no one can see God's Realm unless he is born from above."

Jesus replied, "Truly, truly I tell you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter God's Realm.
