Going out again at twelve o'clock and at three o'clock, he did the same thing.
Next day they were still on the road and not far from the town, when Peter went up to the roof of the house about noon to pray.
About three o'clock in the afternoon he distinctly saw in a vision an angel of God entering and saying to him, "Cornelius."
Peter and John were on their way up to the temple for the hour of prayer at three in the afternoon,
Jesus replied, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If one walks during the day he does not stumble, for he sees the light of this world:
and Jacob's spring was there. Jesus, exhausted by the journey, sat down at the spring, just as he was. It was about noon,
He said to them, "Come and see." So they went and saw where he stayed, and stayed with him the rest of that day — it was then about four in the afternoon.
Now from twelve o'clock to three o'clock darkness covered all the land,
to them he said, 'You go into the vineyard too, and I will give you whatever wage is fair.' So they went in.
And when he went out at five o'clock he came upon some others who were standing; he said to them, 'Why have you stood doing nothing all the day?'
