Ought you not to have had mercy on your fellow-servant, as I had on you?'

forbear and forgive each other in any case of complaint; as Christ forgave you, so must you forgive.

be kind to each other, be tender-hearted, be generous to each other as God has been generous to you in Christ.

and forgive us our debts as we ourselves have forgiven our debtors,

Blessed are the merciful! they will find mercy.

Then his master summoned him and said, 'You scoundrel of a servant! I discharged all that debt for you, because you implored me.

And in hot anger his master handed him over to the torturers, till he should pay him all the debt.
