Then his master summoned him and said, 'You scoundrel of a servant! I discharged all that debt for you, because you implored me.

Whatever the Law says, we know, it says to those who are inside the Law, that every mouth may be shut and all the world made answerable to God;

He replied, 'You rascal of a servant, I will convict you by what you have said yourself. You knew, did you, that I was a hard man, picking up what I never put down, and reaping what I never sowed!

His master said to him in reply, 'You rascal, you idle servant! You knew, did you, that I reap where I have never sowed and gather where I have never winnowed!

And out of pity for that servant his master released him and discharged his debt.

Now when his fellow-servants saw what had happened they were greatly distressed, and they went and explained to their master all that had happened.

Ought you not to have had mercy on your fellow-servant, as I had on you?'

for the judgment will be merciless to the man who has shown no mercy — whereas the merciful life will triumph in the face of judgment.
