He who has found his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.

But they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they had to die for it, but they did not cling to life.

He who loves his life loses it, and he who cares not for his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life.

Whoever tries to secure his life will lose it, and whoever loses it will preserve it.
