Whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the holy Spirit will never be forgiven, neither in this world nor in the world to come.

(he meant by this the Spirit which those who believed in him were to receive: — as yet there was no Spirit, because Jesus had not been glorified yet).

Pure, unsoiled religion in the judgment of God the Father means this: to care for orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself from the stain of the world.
